Water director answers water supply plan questions

Tom Frederick, Executive Director of the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority, joins Coy Barefoot on WINA’s “Charlottesville–Right Now!” to answer questions about the Community Water Supply Plan adopted by the City Council and Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. Last week, Hook publisher and editor Hawes Spencer questioned the plan, and in this podcast Frederick responds.

The interview also covers Frederick’s engineering background, a history of the RWSA, and Frederick’s defense of the Plan. Frederick also responds to soundbites collected by Charlottesville Tomorrow of Plan critics such as Kevin Lynch and Rich Collins. Hawes Spencer also phones in towards the end, as does Don Wagner of the Albemarle County Service Authority and Kevin Lynch.

Read Charlottesville Tomorrow’s coverage on the water supply plan, as well as the Hook’s latest article.
