Who is Jacob Canon?

Jacob Canon has many unique qualities and life experiences. Pursuing his career goal as a public persona and communicator in Film, Television and Radio, Jacob can perform several voice styles, and physically has been compared to Eric Stoltz and Matthew Modine. He has been cast recently in “ The Secret Beneath The Tree,” “Hard to Find,” and several Indies. In Toastmasters he created two characters, “The Gabby Cabby” and “General Evaluator,” & performed an original song, “The Pork Song.” In Theater: “Twain by the Tale,” singing & dancing as Mark Twain and Huck Finn. He has been an extra in feature films and commercials.His tenacity pushed him to excel from production assistant to assisting the director of photography on a NYU graduate thesis film. In television, he worked in production, cameraman, and performed research and image acquisition for an interactive media firm.Born in Baltimore, MD, Jacob’s life has been immersed in history, arts and sports. On the move from childhood, Jacob was exposed to many different people and cultures. By 10, he had traveled throughout the original 13 states. At 15, he vacationed in Europe for a month; with stops in Paris for Bastille Day, and Italy where he visited Venice, Bologna, the seaport town of Rimini, and the mountain village of Padua. As a young adult, he traveled the US with stops in Boulder, CO where he hiked the Flat Irons through 18” of fresh snow, and the Grand Canyon where he hiked the Boucher Trail. Jacob’s formal education includes an associates degree in Liberal Arts, a Bachelor of Science in Economics; Cum Laude, and several post graduate programs including seminars in television production and screenwriting.Mr. Canon’s professional career includes 11 years as a REALTOR where he honed his skills in direct marketing, contract negotiation and personal consultation.  Jacob also worked in the Food Service industry. He has often felt that these experiences developed his ability to interact with anyone, without feeling intimidated by his or her public stature. During this time, he had contact and personal conversations with many known dignitaries and public figures including; Bruce Hornsby, Lawrence Eagleburger, George Shultz, John Grisham, David McCullough, KK Kellogg (family board member and part owner of Kellogg), Martin Killgallon (CEO of Ohio Arts toy company) to mention a few.
