WNRN Wake-Up Call: Local Food

Host Sean McCord (also known for being one of the producers) speaks with Joel Slezak (Free Union Grass Farm) and Erica Hellen (Free Union Grass Farm) about the local food movement. Slezak and Hellen decided to start their own farm specializing in pastured chicken and duck, 100% grass-fed beef, and free-range eggs because global industrial production of food causes concern about food-borne bacterial infection. One of the appeals of local food is that “you know where the food is coming from.”
